Happily recall the Mill Tavern, in the early 1960's.

My Mum was a barmaid there. Run by Bert & Mabel King. They must have been good friends, too, as I recall going there on a Sunday afternoon, after it closed at 2pm, for Sunday Lunch, upstairs in their private flat.

Also recall the Saturday matinee at "The Rex"...great days..

And, as you say, Norman, after a western, we'd all be cowboys, slapping our backside, hollering like lunatics!!
