Although I saw a few I never saw the aftermath. Never worked in the shipyards. The ships were all restrained at launch by drag chains and they must have been dragged into the river with the ship. By the above photo they were probably fastened to the hull at deck level, seen the four cables down the side. There were probably fixing points at bottom of the hull. Recovered by tugs and then winches back onto the slipway?
