Yes, I live in Monterey which is close to Carmel. Clint Eastwood was mayor there from 1986 - 1988. The whole of the Monterey Peninsula is beautiful, but it is very expensive to live here, especially in Carmel and Pebble Beach. House prices are very high (we're renters!)

Here's the view from our deck, looking down towards Pacific Grove and the ocean. The white building you can see in the distance used to be Holman's Department Store, built in 1924. It was recently converted into luxury flats.
