I think most of us have been to Seaburn for a day out. In the early to mid 1900s people in our various streets organised 'Trips' out using the likes of 'Halls Brothers' Coaches.
Trips to places like Crimdon Dene, Jesmon Dene, Saltwell Park, were popular places for these day out 'Trips' before we started buying family cars.
