My opinion is that Illegal Migrants coming over the Channel without documentation are Invaders and are not escaping danger. Hers is the Opposite so she is NOT speaking for us constituents
Please remember this when she wants re-elected.

I am finding the rhetoric around immigration deeply concerning, no one can deny that the system is broken, it needs an overhaul, but hearing statements like, "illegal migration is dividing our country." undermines attempts to make clear no one is illegal and to move towards a system that works and has compassion.
The Prime Minister promised “an immigration system based on compassion and dignity.” yet spoke of an island of strangers and now promotes policies that are devoid of humanity, compassion, and dignity.
I am frankly ashamed that their migration policies are being cheered on by Tommy Robinson and Reform.
These proposals are morally bankrupt and will increase tensions in communities.
I'm very concerned about proposals to deport people to countries once they are deemed safe, with the current broken system we see attempts to refuse asylum to LGBTQ+ people because their countries are deemed safe - despite the clear risk to LGBTQ communities.
I'm very concerned that these proposals will ramp up the deportation of families – which in practice will lead to an increase in women and children being held in detention centres like Derwentside before they are removed.
I have visited that centre and saw for myself women who were fleeing war and persecution being isolated & detained.
Detention should never be a part of someone's asylum or immigration journey.
Instead of standing up to anti-migrant hate, we are feeding the hate and the “dark forces” we are meant to be opposing.
What we see every day is an increase in hate crime, we see an increase in people blaming the cost of living crisis, the NHS crisis, their lack of housing, on immigration - rather than of the failed policies of the last decade and a half.
Instead of policies that inflame this situation, we need policies that will make all our communities better off, safer, healthier and we need to give people hope for a better future - not fuel division.
