Drewett Ormonde Drewett (1838–1910) was a prominent figure in the history of Jarrow, England, best known as the former owner of Jarrow Hall.
Life and Career
Background: Born on June 1, 1838, he was the only son of Isabella and Thomas Drewett-Drewett (formerly Thomas Drewett Brown) of Jarrow Hall.
Profession: He was a Barrister-at-Law (Inner Temple) and served as a Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Durham.
Marriage: He married Catherine Mary Burrell on June 17, 1869.
Connection to Jarrow Hall and the Park
Drewett lived at Jarrow Hall, a historic mansion built in 1785. During his lifetime, he was known to be protective of his estate.
