Yes Margaret there was lots of work places in that area of Hebburn, with one missing.There was an Aluminium Corporation Ltd that started up early 1900s who were nicknamed 'The Bauxite' (which is the name of aluminium ore). I always thought that Reservoir belonged to them as they were so close to it.
