Coincidentally, I did a "thesis" on "Industry in Jarrow" for college in 1959. I visited all the factories and interviewed the managers. I have the original on my bookshelf and there MAY be a copy in Hebburn library. The photos are interesting. There is one of my Dad down a quarry!!
