Illegal Invaders compensated because we took their phones

In the UK we are NOT allowed to confiscate mobile phones from Illegal Migrants when they arrive here.
Because we did that, a Judge has awarded compensation of over £6000 to each migrant who had their phone taken from them.
These Migrants became criminals when they deliberately disposed of their passports and Documents so that we didnt know their home country for deportation. Why are Judges compensating criminals????? and why such a large amount of tax payers money ?
