Ian Huntley killed two young schoolgirls in 2002, but because we didnt have the death penalty anymore, he's had to be guarded for 24 yrs by Prison Officers incase other Prisoners try to kill him.
Last week a slip up by Prison Officers allowed a triple murderer & fellow Prisoner to attempt to kill him. The attempt nearly worked because Huntley was given just a 5% chance to survive.
He has been in the RVI SIX DAYS & fighting for his life. If he survives he will basically be a 'cabbage' as his brain has been badly damaged so will have to be cared for for the rest of his life.
Even his poor mother hopes he wont survive this. Personally I think he should have been executed 24 years ago,
