Unfortunately it’s the way things are now the departmental stores have loads of franchises, they have, mostly, undergone major refurbishments, to my mind not for the better, I remember in London many years ago it started with Selfridges, followed by Harvey Nichols a store I never really liked, but worst of all Harrods was supposedly upgraded, not for the better though.

Going back to Fenwicks as mentioned loads of restaurants, the food hall I think was spoilt when it was upgraded, there does seem to be a load of cosmetic counters, don’t think the ladies fashion department is the greatest but, I guess we should be thankful that the store is still trading when you think of the departmental stores that are no longer??
