Jimmy Guy ( the verger) is one of my best friends. For around 10 yrs we have worked together on the history of the church and every stone. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, he has had to resign, and also from doing any further hisorical researh. He has helped me as well over the 10 years, enabling me to fulfill a worthwhile hobby as an architectural ecclesiologist. I am sure many of you will know Jimmy even from Burtons! So we wish him well and who will be a big miss in local history....
