That photo brought the memories flowing back. My Uncle Joe Cummings and Aunty Alice lived in 75 Campbell Pk Rd which is the half of the house which you can see it right on the junction with Vic Rd. They were the first tenants. I have posted a pic to show it today (ignore Google having the 75 on the wrong semi)
I was there with my Robinson cousins and Uncle Ray and Authy Lilly every Sunday during the 40's and 50's for tea. Real family affairs.
In about 1947 Uncle Joe had an Austin Seven which for several years he crammed us all into for trips usually to exotic Usworth. I say crammed because two of my cousins were in their teens and both big tall lads when I was 10 years behind the eldest. And my Cousin Gordon was 5 years behind me.
At that time my Dad had a mid thirties Austin 12. To little me, a huge car. It is the first car I remember again from 1947/8.
I could go on but memories like listening to "Sing Something Simple" and Uncle Joe playing his accordion can only bore you.........lovely days.
