Such a lot has happened to our Towns in the 89 yrs since the Pilot of a little aircraft photographed that Hebburn view. I wonder what the Ellison family who created those Lakes at great expense would have thought of the Council draining their lakes, left for us to enjoy????.
I remember them as our playground in the 1950s.
