That's a great piece of Hebburn Argyle Football Club's history there Patrick.
Sadly Ron French & John Diamond are no longer with us as both passed away some years ago.
I met Ron when he brought out his 'Shipyards on the Tyne' book & I knew John Diamond all my life as he lived in Hebburn Quay as did I. Both of us born just before ww2 finished.
