So it's the dawn of my (final?) trip to Hebburn.

Something I've always intended, but postponed for a variety of reason. It's probably 30 years since my last visit.

I'd promised an old board member (GeordieboyNS) that I would meet him there, and walk along the pier together. Sadly, that won't happen.

However, on a brighter note, about 10 fellow owners of Porsche 924's are taking them all for a "spin", driving the length of Hadrians Wall, tomorrow.
We're meeting at Gretna Green, heading to Vindolanda, then Housteads, then east to Wallsend.

My intent is to break away from the group, as we approach Newcastle, and head on down to Hebburn.
A drive down Queens Crescent (my birthplace) and onto the cemetery, and pop some flowers on my Nana & Grandads grave. Check out the park, and if the slide is still there, that'll be me, sliding down it!! Then South Shields, and Marsden (depending on time) Then it's a rush North to the border, and head for home.

So if anyone is out and about tomorrow, and spot a white, 45 year old Porsche, give me a wave, and I'll certainly wave back!!
