The Monument is made from sandstone that came from a Hebburn Quarry. The Quarry is long gone by being filled in with a grassy field over it, situated between Hebburn Comp School & Sullivan Walk Estate.
For ex pats the field is between the Pumphouse Lake & Leslies Sportsfield close to Campbell Park Rd.
