The monastery wall has now long lessened all over but when Jimmy Guy and I did the research a few years ago, we found the stones were nowhere to be found on site. I toured all over Jarrow to locate them which was easy because they have certain stone masons marks. I found them being used in the cemetery boundary wall as well as the curved wall at Tyne Dock. Put to good use by the council I suppose....
