May be because you have to pay staff Triple time for working Christmas Day?

We never employed our staff on Christmas Day at our pub. We would do the early morning cleaning ourselves, then open 12 till 2pm, drinks only, no food. Gave the opportunity for our staff (kitchen & bar) to spend Christmas with family.
