What a fantastic photograph Norman, I've got my magnifying glass out, there's a little bit of everything there. No doubt everyone enjoying their day out - trip buses lined up, a few big cars, lots of folk walking and maybe lining up for either washrooms or boiled water for their tea. In the foreground to the right - at first I thought it was a bowling green but I think that's a reflection I see from the shrubs so maybe it's a pond. I bet South Shields wishes they had folks turning out like that today eh?
