Maria, just starting a thread it’s amazing where it can go and so many memories. Just to think your dad’s brother buried in a war cemetery in Catania Sicily at aged just 23 years old. Your grandparents would have grieved for the rest of their lives, without you knowing. I always watch the service at the Cenotaph every year and think of the sacrifices people made.
