HMRC scam phone call

I have just received one of these scam calls and looked at the HMRC website at the link below. |
As advised I sent them an email as follows
At 12.20 today, 31 August 2019, I received a call purporting to be from HMRC, saying that a warrant for my arrest on charges of income tax fraud had been issued and if I did not press 1 on my keypad, officers would be on their way immediately to arrest me. I did not speak or press any keys. The call originated from 0300 200 6307.
This scam is being aimed at vulnerable and elderly people (I am 78 and have a blue badge!), who are advised to do what I did. If you press a button as told in the call, you could end up paying for an expensive call or getting conned into giving out personal information. You cannot be too careful nowadays with clever fraudsters using technology to steal your hard earned cash.
