Just managed to watch Sundayís race (poor WiFi). |
The weather yuk. It looked as if it really sorted the men from the boys, or more like lads from northern climates faired better.
However my post is how much different areas of Harrogate that I know very well looked almost completely different on the TV shots. I had to think twice. Is that ???.
I viewed it 3 times just to check.
Looked as if there were a LOT of people watching the races.
Now I know why a certain stretch of road was resurfaced in May. We used to live in the area of the final circuits.
I am trying hard to get my cycling fitness up to a higher level. Going for a 20 miler today including a bit of climbing.
Over the past 3 weeks I have managed to up my fitness so that a after 25 miles I can still make a big push!
I tried a modern e bike on Saturday on a 7 mile hard route. Great for climbing hills, but the motor assistance cuts out at 15mph and then you have the extra weight to haul along. Not a good enough performance for me ( maybe if I try a more expensive One £££)
There are a lot of Dutch and Belgiumís on our site and all have bikes, 90% e bikes with the rest good road bikes (Roadies).
Nearly all the cyclists on the site are well over 65.
Itís definitely the way to go as it gets you out and about and even an e bike gets you fitter.
