Hello there! I'm probably a bit late to the party here but your photo site directed me back here. I've scrolled and scrolled for an answer but can't find it mentioned! I absolutely loved looking through those photos and appreciated the work you put in Norman so much. Are they somewhere else or just gone? Jackie

The links to Norman's photo sites seem to have vanished from the foot of these pages. Norman will no doubt be able to explain what has happened.
I've ran the Old Tyneside website for nearly 20 yrs. I closed it over a week ago and hardly anyone noticed. The sites weekly log reported it was only viewed occasionally, ie less than 10 visits per week. I didnít announce closure because it would have been ransacked by the people who feed them to Face Book before it closed. Masses of 'Old Tyneside' images ended up on Facebook with no credit to where they were from. I likened my website as a warehouse full of free photos to put on Face Book. I dont use Face Book but my 3 sons do. Over the years 2 of my sons had rows with people using 'Old Tyneside' images without saying where they got them from. They didnt want others to know about the 'Warehouse'. All they had to do was credit 'Old Tyneside' and it would have been ok. I had weekly reports on the number of visits to the site and for quite a while it has had very few visits. Eg half a dozen per week Anyone looking for a particular pic just needs to ask as its all backed up.
I used to go to Hebburn.org. Which I think was Mikes site, then go to Norman Dunnís photos, the only way I knew how to access Normanís photos. I know Mike was closing his site which was sad as there was a lot of stories which would still be of interest. Lots of photos from the early days, including Rob Canham's photos and of course lots more.
