Good morning John. I hope you are aware that we don't talk politics here but that still leaves plenty of scope. The great thing about this forum is that everyone can have their say on any of the threads that are raised. On rare occasions things get heated and some posts have to to be deleted. I am pleased that I don't have to make those decisions but bow to those who do. |
I am intrigued by the fact that you have started a thread with no subject in mind but to say 'good morning'. However, I am pleased to see a Councillor visit here for any reason provided that he/she has the best interests of Hebburn and its people at heart. I remember a Hebburn that was much more than just a place to rest your head.
I left Hebburn in 1956 but have been coming back ever since, mainly through this website. I have been away for so long I hardly feel that I have any say or rights in the affairs of dear old Hebburn but I care very much. This forum seldom speaks well of local government and if we were to believe everything we see and hear it would seem that Hebburn has been abandoned for many years now. I really do hope that these things can be addressed with a New Year resolution that does not require the mix of poison that is party politics.
It is not for me to say but I will say it anyway...you are welcome here.
