Dear Michael, |
I didn’t expect this, as I also thought you’d to be straight in and out of hospital - not to be in for some 3 weeks. Your stiff-upper lip, and coolness towards your innumerable severe illnesses over the last ten years is to be greatly admired – we should be calling you Iron Mike, as you obviously have a will of iron to have come through this with your lovely, dependable wife and soulmate.
Your inability to walk, or even get out of bed, sounds frustrating, though, yet again, you are so positive, when you say that you feel and look as fit as a fiddle, that you have regained your taste and your appetite is improving and you are not bored and do the crosswords with your wonderful wife each day, which is better than any medicine – how good’s that?
Michael, you are pain-free and getting the best treatment and 24-hour care. Your doctor has been wonderful through this, and although she said that you will not fully recover, and told you to ‘hope for the best but plan for the worst’ - miracles do happen, and if anyone deserves a miracle, you do.
Michael, as always, you have your friends and family there to support you, and also your good friends here, on the Hebburn message board. You are an incredible person, much loved and admired on this board. You have shown us how to keep positive – thank you for that.
God bless you and your good wife,
