My mum lives in Bill Quay she is terminally ill now, I have nothing but praise for the doctors surgery and the support they have given, you ask for a doctor to call and see my mum, there has never been a problem, even in her good days, you ask for a doctor to telephone you again no problem. |
Three weeks ago I had to call the 111 service, after going through the various questions they decided that a paramedic was required the paramedics arrived within 20 mins. The paramedics said mum had pneumonia and needed hospital treatment and ambulance was called that arrived with 15 mins mum was taken to the QE, she was put into an assessment room, ok we had to wAit about 4 hours to be seen by a consultant but in the meantime mum had been hooked up to a drip. Granted this was just at the beginning of the Coronavirus situation, but I have said before I do think NHS is a post code lottery and Gateshead and the north east, in my opinion, have a fantastic NHS service.
Hope you wife gets better Stan.
