We are lucky to live where we do thanks to Daughter and husband

We sold up end of 2005 and travelled for a couple of months and then moved into one of our Daughters first properties. We have moved to various ones over the years. Here twice, 5 others as and when, moved 10-12 times since 2005. |
We would go into a property and see what mods were required then move on to another and check that out.
During the summer we would be away in our caravan for about 5 months. And still do.
Early on I would go with son in law to gut a property up on Tyneside. A hecktick 2 - 3 days. Ready for contractors.
Enjoyed that a lot.
Here we moved out for 3 years rented it out and then modified it and moved back in.
I enjoyed modifying the barm that we live in. I marked out the thick walls for new beams after gutting the barn. That was the first time that I used a laser level. Cutting the walls, forming notches for bean ends, very heavy work.
Now I just do what I can in the garden, leave collecting, trimming hedges, felling trees that are dead, bit of maintenance to our end, painting etc.
The delight is the garden or should I say the daughters garden.
The lawn that you can see takes 2 - 4 hours to cut. The 4 if left too long in summer.
The Beech trees and Willow tree are great to look at as the seasons change and the various effect that the sunlight has on them. Photos cannot do justice to them but here’s a go.
Good for a Palmers Draughtsman
