Don you're right its affecting everyone, We go for a walk everyday which helps a lot, I have never made so much fresh bread in my life, same with fresh pasta, it's about keeping yourself occupied, not just with the mundane but things you enjoy, my wife paints watercolours and is painting all our Christmas cards this year, she also is pretty good on her sewing machine, especially with clothes,She made me a rather nice waistcoat. |
I am making preserves for Christmas gifts, and have been building a new raised bed with a cold frame on top as I find it uncomfortable to kneel since my knee replacements. we are also changing the small bedroom into a craft room for my good lady too. There's still days we vegetate as I would imagine most of us do. I think the winter is going to be hard, but don't stay isolated in the virtual sense, text, zoom, phone, come on the forum, treat yourself, it doesn't have to be expensive. we had a nice dinner and got dressed up smart, a nice bottle of wine and just enjoyed making the effort. This is a new normality for now, we will get through it. There's a community on here and I am sure we will encourage, lift each others spirits, as well as get on each others nerves at times, but that's what happens in life.
Try and keep your spirits up everyone, we all have different ways if doing it, but whatever it is just do it.
