Hello Don, |
I remember your post from January 2019, letting us know the dire straits your daughter was in at that time, and how she was severely means tested, when it should have been obvious that in her condition (she had been through the mill), she just needed help, but was neglected and locked in a catch-22 situation, due to not being able to stand up for herself. It seems that Ďthe squeaky wheel gets oiledí and Ďshy bairns get nowtí, and this should definitely not be the case, but, alas, the unfeeling and emotionless box-ticking keeps this unfair and unjust practice in place.
Itís extremely unsettling to learn that Helenís dire situation has not changed over all this time Ė this seems so harsh, inhumane and uncivilised for this day and age of plenty.
Living in her own flat shows Helenís great spirit and attempt at independence.
Don, you informed us of Helenís partnerís accident, his brain injuries and his coma, and how, after coming out of his coma (which was deemed a miracle by the doctors), that he has hardly been aware of his own existence. Although he doesnít recognise Helen, she constantly visits him, and is of the highest hopes that he might get better, and, as such, she will never forsake him Ė what an honest, faithful and dependable lady your daughter is. Yes, I agree - leave Helen with her hopes, as miracles sometimes do happen.
