I am not on here 24/7 so didnt see the thread I've just deleted until a regular emailed me about it.
What Patrick said was spot on saying the Board is not what it used to be.
We have too many people arguing and using the board as a soap box to spread their own views and causing arguments.
Please try and keep to the rules and keep this a happy friendly board like it used to be.

Yes, thanks for that Patrick. Now if you ask Norman nicely he might delete another thread further down headed Well Well. That would maintain a level playing field, but it might just be easier to delete this post. Then we will really know where we are here.

I have never been afraid of a heated discussion and believe in the old rhyme about sticks and stones. You can’t make a good omelet without breaking a few eggs.

The thread you mention further down titled 'Well Well' is deleted Don.

I'd already taken action yesterday with KM who made a right hash of his second post using a different name.

I wish you wouldnt make my little hobby of running a Forum more difficult. You are a great asset to the Board & are our 'Hebburn Colliery expert' but a bit argumentive

I want 'Hebburn and our Neighbours' to be a nice friendly board where all of us, no matter where we live in this world, can keep intouch with our roots, get intouch with old friends, ask and answer questions, display old photos and be happy.
A great example of how good this board can be is when I asked 'Is this Bob Noble' on a 1934 class photo. Then I read 94 yr old Bob's fantastic reply seeing himself at school 86 years ago. How good is that as Barry Cram often says.

You won’t get any more derogatory remarks from me but I will have to stay out of all threads that hang on the COVID subject. I feel very strongly about that and more particularly this week because we had a phone call on Monday gone to say that Margaret’s close friend (Dorothy) going back 60 years had died of this virus. We had started out with them in family quarters at RAF Leeming in 1960 and kept in touch and visited all these years. I have to say that I have never seen Margaret quite so upset and in tears when Dave (Dorothy’s husband) rang to tell us and he was in a daze. To cap it all, he rang us up yesterday to tell us that he had lost her...he had forgotten that he had already rung us on Monday. That set us both off and I found it very had to control my feelings over the phone. He was totally bereft and lost without her. So,you see, this COVID is causing a lot more harm than we realise, especially when it gets close to you.

I have to admit that I went a bit over the top so I apologise for that. No more Covid discussion for me from now on.
