Set free a kite unto the breeze
And watch it dip and soar
Working the wind to advantage
As earthly bound no more
Unchain a puppy from the leash
See it go running and leaping
Euphoric in its freedom
Released from parental keeping
Through all life's joys and sorrows
Lies a truth all parents know
To hold on to your children
You have to let them go |
