What is to be done about Newcastle United.?

The match last night and team were awful,am not one to advocate sack for someone but can see Steve Bruce turning this around.

David they are not worth the time and space nowadays.As regards Mr Bruce there are three million reasons he will not be sacked as that is the amount of money Ashley would have to pay him if he fires him.It makes you sick as he is the worst manager i have ever known Newcastle to have.

Its obvious they aren't playing for him. If he left they'd suddenly start winning.
Newcastle have always disappointed their fans.

Goodness only knows David and the worst thing is trying to remain dis-passionate about the whole thing.
It was so grim that after 20 minutes on Saturday and before the goal I switched off and watched the Rugby. Wise decision!
Bruce hasnt got it. When he was at Hull he trotted out the same excuses almost word for word.
But the players are poor too especially Jokelinton who now trumps Albert Luque as our worst ever player.
I have watched kids on Copacabana Beach who have more talent!

You must remember Bobby Shunton or Babayaro both appalling. Joelinton isn't a centre forward, he played wide or off the main striker at Hoffenheim, any confidence the lad had has been knocked out of him, evidently Newcastle had him watched over 25 times before the brought him in, Rafa refused to have him, although Bruce has been awful Joelinton wasn't signed by him, as for the fee, that's on the club not the player.

Have you watched Jokelinton when Bruce plays him wide.......ineffective control and regular loss of possession.
The fee is irrelevant. If he had come to NUFC on a free it still wouldn't be value for money.
There must be boys in the academy who could do better or even playing someone out of position like one of the Longstaff's would be worth a try.
If they drop to the Championship immediate return is very unlikely.

Yes I have seen most of his games, strangely enough he probably had one of his best games against Villa last week,Tyrone Mings who has just been called into the England squad couldn't cope with him, but the lads confidence is rock bottom, he is not the same player he was at Hoffenheim, I watched some of his matches in Germany and he was exciting, fast and intelligent on the ball. It could be that he just isn't suited to the English game, he wouldn't be the first one. It took nearly two seasons for Thierry Henry to bed in properly at Arsenal, Joelinton is only 21 or 22, and needs to be taken out of the limelight, the fee is a millstone and because of the fee Bruce keeps playing him when he shouldn't. Will he amount to anything like he was in Germany certainly not under Bruce but another manager you never know.

like you Mac I switched over after 10 minutes or so. The whole set up at Newcastle from top to bottom is just distgracefull we can not blame the owner for that display on the night the manager for starters he will be gone by the way,before the season concludes,there will be some players following him,for me the lot can go.The players never tried they were just waiting for the final whistle,they put 3 points on a plate for Brighton and 6 points for Fulham,shame on you Newcastle United. I forecast that Newcastle will be playing in the championship along side Sunderland and Middlesbro in a couple of years time.at least we might get a bit of aggression.and endeavour.

Tom i personally think that Newcastle will be playing Sunderland and Boro next season.That is all that Ashley deserves.If fans had of been allowed in to watch the games Bruce would have been long gone by now.It is only covid that has saved him.

At my age I have better priorities than Newcastles problems. However, why Linton gets a place is beyond me. Half of the team make more passes to the opposition than they do to their own team, not a recipe for success.
