Bware this DVLA Sscam

I received this email yesterday.

I had paid by vehicle tax in February and had had a formal acknowledgement from the DVLA, so I knew this was scam,

Dear DVLA Customer,

Notice of Invoice: - michael556lynch@btinternet.com -

The payment for your latest vehicle tax invoice failed. It appears that
some of the billing details associated with your account might have
expired or were otherwise changed.

Yes Michael so easy to to fall into the trap, makes you wonder where they get the info from? Sometimes it's within , I'm convinced of it.

Do we know where the DVLA is located? or has it been transferred to India or even China

The DVLA is located in Swansea.

I must have the cell next to you Mac, also I have had 3 I phones bought suspiciously on Amazon according to the pre recorded message I have had numerous times this week.

Well Swansea is their physical location but many UK entities contract-out back-office work to countries overseas.
I have no evidence that DVLA do......

I received this email scam this morning, just dumped it, but very annoying as lots of people will be taken in by it, thing is it said my payment had failed, I last paid for my road tax in July last year so it has taken quite a few months for the payment to fail!!!
