New Scottish Party.

It has been reported on the news that Alex Salmond is to form a new Sottish Political party called Alba.I wonder if this is to get revenge on the SDP and if so i wonder how much damage they will inflict on the SDP.

It's very rare for a new party to make an impact especially as it is after the same as SDP, all it will probably do is dilute the vote.

The way it reads to me is that by introducing another party Salmon thinks he is going to make a stronger case against the Uk Government for Scottish independence

Probably Geoff since the new party is pro-independence.
But he could well split the SNP vote and open up a chance for the Tory and Lanour parties.
He certainly has it in for "Wee Jimmy"!
We shall see.

I must agree Davy. There are more folk of Scots decent living in England than there are in Scotland.

Allan, what you say is true but after several generations of living south of the boarder still think and feel that they are Scottish and need independence, although they will never live or want to live there again. What is it with the call for Scottish Independence, do the Scotts think there's some buried treasure somewhere! Well, the only buried treasure I see, is coming out of Westminster.

When you think about it, us English should be asking for parity with Scotland. They get a lot of advantages that we in England dont get. Free University,Free Care Home, Free Prescriptions, Free Hospital Parking to name a few.
Sturgeon is a racist and dislikes the English. If they broke away from UK, where will their finances come from?
I agree its a shame to liken wee Jimmy Krankie to Sturgeon
