Jarrow Baths was on that empty land on Walter St.

I didnt know that there was a Golden Lion at the bottom of Walter St.
But I remember the Lord Nelson about opposite the baths.
Why? Well as a lad I never ever went further down Walter St than the baths.
Is the Golden Lion still an operating pub (excluding Covid Closure)

Hi Mac,
Its address was Walter St. The road it faces is Ellison Place to the left and Chaytor St to the right but not sure where they meet.

Aye Norman. Looking at Walter St as it is today and comparing it to earlier maps I can see exactly where it was. I just never knew it was there.
Who on earth ever went further down Walter St than the baths!!!

The Golden Lion Mac was better known as Johnny Ingles.It has had various owners and the current ones have done a lot of modernisation to it and re-named it Johnny,s.
