I have a photo with two of your Ducker reltives on which I'm trying to date.

as far as i can remember norman, joan ducker is ten years older than me, and is still alive and living beside pelaw club,her sister mervil died around twenty years ago and lived in wynn gardens pelaw all her life,so i would put mervil down as born 1931, and joan born 1933, i was born 1943,their father joe ducker was one of the foremen at bowran paint,s pelaw mot centre now, and retired in the fifties,

joe ducker came home from world war one in 1919, got married, then first daughter, mervill born 1931,he named her merville after the little town he was at in france during the war,he said it was the most beautiful place he had ever been to, "not sure about the spelling".

Wynn gardens wasnt built until 1960, we were the first family to live there at number one. I zm sure
Mervil was a home help who looked after my mother
I cant remember her husbands name but Frank rings a bell

no carol, it was dick, a very quiet man,they have two sons, peter, and michael.

as far as i remember dick was in the horse guards,when they married in the forties, then they came back to tyneside and got the house at the top of george street pelaw, then moved to wynn gardens 1960/61,

Hi Alan if it is the same lady who looked after my mother her husband had blond hair and was quite handsome.

he had a mustache, being in the horse guards he was very smart with one of those chrome plated helmets.

I used to drink with Bob Ducker in Pelaw club he and his best mate Charlie both inseparable mates both used to be snooker players, laugh a minute, Bob use to smoke a pipe I remember, went to his house a few times looking at his self-built telescope, brilliant engineer and he was doing some sort of vacuum coatings on items, Bob and Charlie two clever lads. Think his relative lives next to me in Pelaw.

might be his son ken,i bought a francis barnett motorbike off big charlie as we used to call him, smashing bloke, lived on coniston as i remember,i seem to recall he ended up being bob,s lodger.
