Hi Iain, |
Firstly there is no Coy, it is pronounced. ‘Two Three Three Squadron’, Royal Engineers, TA, part of 105 Corps, Royal Engineers, TA based at Gateshead. The squadron was under the commandments l of a Major, with Captains, Lieutenant’s as Officers. The senior NCO was the Squadron Sergeant Major, and under him where Staff Sergeants, Sergeants, Corporals,Lance Corporals and then Sappers. The Regiment was split into Administration, Transport and Engineers. We were based in the Drill Hall in Beech Street, Jarrow. I cannot recall the actual make up numbers but hope this helps
