Have been reading about this clever man. The following words aren't mine ... "Energy centre to be named in honour of Professor Paul Younger |
A major infrastructure project is to be named after Professor Paul Younger, one of the regionís pioneering scientists.
Naming the Energy Centre in his honour is a fitting tribute to a man who contributed so much in so many ways, throughout his career, to the influence the region has in improving peopleís lives globally ... Professor David Manning.
The Paul Younger Energy Centre is located in Paulís birthplace, Hebburn. It will provide renewable heat to public sector buildings through the heat network in Hebburn by collecting mine water from Hebburn Colliery. Two boreholes will be drilled into the ground and pumps will be used to take warm water from disused flooded mines.
Professor Paul Younger, who passed away in 2018, was an internationally-renowned hydrogeologist and environmental engineer."
Paul Younger was born 1962 so he will be known by many board members I am sure.
