These lovely ladies were watching a football match on Reyrolles Sportfield between the Contracts Departments married men and single men about 1950.
Is this the last chance to get some names from 72 yrs ago?
That little boy will be 73-74 now,

Could D be Vera McIntyre, who used to help run the Girl Guides at St Aloysius. She looks familiar. Her younger brother Kevin was the same age as me.

You might be correct,young Kevin McIntyre lived in Jutland avenue the same time in the 1950 the same time as my self by the photo that Norman has shown the lady certainly looks like one of the McIntyre family.

Board regular Bill Wallace puts these pics on Face Book for me, with my permission. 'D' is as Sheila said ie Vera McIntyre. Christine Goessen said its her Aunt. Well done Sheila , your memory is good.

Hi Tom and Joseph two maybe positive’s as I’m often wrong I’m pleased. Do you remember their dad Mr McIntyre, I believe he was a football scout for some big clubs years ago.

Here is the Kevin McIntyre I remember even though he was older than me.
I knew a Bill McKenna who was a Fitter at RW Transmissions in the 1960s and he lived in Queens Cres next to the Burn Heads Rd junction. I also went to school with a John McIntyre from one of the street off Cuthbert St eg Dunston St. That poor lad dad young.

Yes Norman that’s Kevin McIntyre. We only knew they were in the same year as we went into church from time to time for hymn practice occasionally , but even then Miss Cody told us we must look straight ahead, it so funny looking back at how things were at school at the time. Boys and Girls never allowed to mix. Unheard of at St Aloysius when we went to school.

Remember him well Sheila. Andy he was a brother in St,aloysious Church, can't remember him being a scout, but I was only knee high to a grasshopper so maybe he was, Kevin died very young, also his brother Andy was fairly young when ho died.

E looks like Isabelle Walker nee Dixon sister of John Dixon who went on to Captain Aston Villa when then won the FA Cup
