We are getting temps of 27 to 35 here. At times too hot to move, shade hunting.
It’s widespread over France at the moment.

Thanks for the update Allan, I think those temperatures are a little on the high side for me, must be a nightmare for you when you ar3 out on your bike?

Are the French sticking to all their rules and regulations or ar3 they a bit free and easy?

The temp is no bother if out on bike as creating own wind. However plenty of Sun block required.

French drivers as stupid as always, they get behind you and are very very close. If towing the c/van you cannot see them in your mirrors.

Pedestrians seem to have a death wife at zebra crossings, just walk out without looking for traffic, 2 near ones so far.

As for customs etc. No bother so far.

I went out on Sunday and did a 52 miler up towards Sault..Gorges du Nesque? Longest ride ever.

12 mile climb but a nice coast back down.

Only used up 50% of my battery power so happy. Still learning how to use an “e” bike power. Don’t want to use it too much as wish to increase fitness so in Eco mode most of time.

Even hotter today the last 10 miles of a 30 miler trying to go from shade to shade. Knackered.

Allan Cmpbell is amazing.
For those that dont know, he is around 80 years old and must be superfit. I wish I was a quarter as fit as him

You lot are taking the Mike. I am not fit just trying to be.

Trying to get fitter, done about 240 miles in 2 weeks.

It’s now too hot after 13.00 to 17.00 for riding. Very debilitating even sat in the shade.

This will stop me somewhat. I had hoped to climb Mont Ventoux at the end of the month but it might bit a trip too far.

Allan, I think that you are very fit being able to do what you are doing especially in that heat. To contemplate a bike ride up Mount Ventoux what can I say, I find it hard work being a passenger in a car going up Mount Ventoux!!! I have to say sitting in a restaurant in Sault listening to the bikers stories, some of them going up and down more than once, is quite something else, if you manage that trip that will be quite an achievement.
