Boris, covid and the ridiculous!

How much longer will folk keep bleating on about Boris at parties at the height of the covid when they lost loved ones. I lost my wife with covid at the same time but I don't hold him responsible for it. People on TV go on and on, but I just don't get it. OK, he did wrong, but for people to link him with deaths is ridiculous.

I agree with you Stan, we all know that there were restrictions in place, no gatherings that kind of thing, people did have people within their bubble with whom they could meet. Boris and the people in Downing Street worked, to my mind, quite hard to keep the country going during this terrible time, they were people who worked together everyday, so if from time to time, so what if they had a glass of something to keep them going, we seem to forget that Boris almost died during the pandemic he returned to work quite soon after coming out of hospital so him having a glass of wine or whatever with work colleagues, whilst keeping the country going, good luck to the man.

I just wish Dominic Cummings would stop drip feeding photos etc to the press, this man is getting very vindictive against someone who stood by him when others were demanding blood.

My opinion only, sorry if others don’t agree but we are entitled to an opinion.

I am sure there will be a very good discussion on this matter, I look forward to reading other peoples thoughts.

I agree with you both, Stan and Liz, People have short memories, Boris worked hard trying his best with an unknown virus. He got us through and nearly died himself with Covid. As you sayLiz, these people were working lots of hours and a drink at the of the day I thought was ok. The were all working in the same building. Dominic Cummings was always going to be trouble for him. Cummings worked hard for him to win the election. I for one liked a lot if his ideas especially sorting the Civil Service., but with he and Carrie disliking each other, it was obviously who would win. You know the saying “ A happy wife means a happy life” for the husband.

You are entitled to your opinion And I agree with you.There used to be an old saying that people who live in glass houses ,should'nt throw stones,This partygate business comes to mind.

It is shameful and frightening how terribly insular are H.M.Official Opposition and the two major television news networks whose headline news over the past couple of days has been about drinking at Number 10 during the lockdown(s).

I don't care how many drinks either The Prime Minister or The Leader of H.M. Official Opposition did or didn't have. It is, to use American terminology, small potatoes and didn't kill anyone.

Now if you would like to consider serious matters that will and in some cases, are, affecting the U.K., how about The War in Ukraine, the treatment of the Uyghur people in China, Kim Jong Un in North Korea and at home the dilemma over the rise in the cost of living and how to genuinely solve it?

Thank you Michael. Another bleater on TV tonight. My wife had covid but it wasn't down to Boris breaking the rules. Its just a witch hunt now, costing a fortune...
