Jubilee Concert Tonight

There is a decent line up which I am intrigued to see includes Mabel. My first rather irreverent thought was that they had dug up Wilfred Pickles.

My hope is that the BBC dont wreck it with irrelevant "inbetweeners".....I see that Sir David Attenborough, Emma Raducanu, David Beckham, Stephen Fry, Dame Julie Andrews are also appearing. Why? Its a concert.

The BBC's triumph in turning Beacon lighting ceremonies into a 2 hour non-spectacular on Thursday hopefully will not be repeated. We were treated not just to banal comments from several parts of the UK but also the rabbiting of Gloria Hunnybun, Lulu and a Welsh frock designer who I had never heard of.......

Bah humbug.

Thank goodness we can do pagentry in honour of the lady who has kept a steady hand on the tiller for so many years.
And dont let me hear that she has never done a days work etc........just imagine a life ruled totally by a diary!!

Heard some areas are having street parties. Would like to hear what neighbourhoods have planned

I think our Queen is marvellous and yes she does work hard. I would hate my life run by a diary. 3 cheers for her. No street parties here as one half of the street doesn’t speak to the other. Mind you, they are mostly related to each other!!!!!

I agree and let’s not hear about how much it is costing the tax payer, instead think of all the money people are spending on their celebrations. I’ve read the pubs sre doing well.

Long live the Monarchy, can you just imagine a President say for example Tony Blair or someone equally as odious???

The Queen has served her Country well for 70 years and no I would not like to go through life having to adhere to diary events only.

I am sure that the majority of the country is making money over these 4 days.

Let’s carry on and enjoy the rest of the celebrations.

I shall miss all the shenanigans as in France and very few Brits about.

Miss not being with the family but the weather far better.

Just checked my mileage on the bike 360 miles since 6th May. 24 miles today along the Canel.

Total since bought the “e” bike at end of Nov. 805 miles.

Definitely agree bill..I settled down to watch the concert tonight..Great opening with the queen and Paddington bear..same as when she did the bond spoof think it was for the opening ceremony for the London Olympics..Great lady ..and well deserved ..

And you surprised me BBC. Tonights event was a spectacular. The staging and lighting was magnificent
Star of the show for me was Andrea Bocelli.....!
But where were Cliff, Robbie, Shirley etc?

What a spectacular Thank You for the Queen's 70 year reign.

As usual this country shows why we are called Great Britain.
I was disappointed Andrea Bocelli only sang one song though.
