I have read about Operose, it is I believe an American company.

Thankfully our surgery are all working as self employed and it’s their surgery. I don’t know if anyone remembers, but in 2004, when the Eastern Europeans joined the EU, the Labour government said don’t worry we expect 13,00 to arrive, but 500,000 arrived and no surgery could deny them registration. I know as my friend had worked at the same surgery for 20 years, more arrived every week, they arrived and registered, as well as refugees at the same time. I wonder how many people realise how many people are now registered with their doctor.perhaps that is why many were retiring early. Just to tired to continue.

I watched it and i have to say it was very scary. The good news is that they haven't got any practices up here.

Our Practice is a private practice luckily the doctors don’t seem to change that often, the practice nurses are usually the same. Getting an appointment is a bit hit and miss but a few months ago my husband had a problem, he called the surgery he received a call back from a doctor, then was given an appointment for a blood test, followed up by a visit to the surgery and a very quick appointment at Hereford Hospital, all good, I think it is only the bad problems we read about in the newspapers as good news doesn’t sell newspapers or are attention grabbers on the evening news.

Mr Blair and his Labour Government have a lot to answer for as far as immigration and other problems do seem to stem from his time in government but unfortunately our present government do not seem to be getting to grip with matters, although they are hampered by constant left wing lawyers, tv stations and the like.

The private companies are eroding the NHS, one of the biggest parasites is Virgin Supremo Richard Branson who if he didn't win his NHS bids would then sue the dept of health and the associated NHS trusts. I have also heard although don't no if there's any truth in it but the Virgin GP practises were charging for some appointments.

Well ! Lets hope you don't drop to our level. Where very few have a doctor to call , for most medical issues that crop up , pack a lunch , go to emergency at the hospital park and wait and wait , no numerical order who ever THEY deem the most serious even without seeing a doctor goes first . Sometimes , though rare a couple hours wait , often all day hence packi g a lunch . If you are lucky enough to have a doctor call for an appointment visit over the phone at some future date. If you require surgery , months/years or never , accidental injuries like car crash etc., will of course receive fairly prompt attention . I would say you have it good .
