I don’t know about you good people but I find it very hypocritical to hear the awful voice of Ji Brand asking us to give, I can’t remember the exact amount but it is under £30 to get a person off the streets for a few days over the xmas period - what about the other days??? No doubt Jo Brand would be one of the first to squeal and shout if a homeless British person was put in front of an economic migrant for a place in a hotel, makes me sick these do gooders seem to forget our own homeless.

I haven’t seen it Liz, but I wonder how much she has earned from it. No fee but just a lot of expenses.

She's horrible, I've never liked her as a person or so called comic.
She was in the headlines a few years ago for her comment about throwing acid.

Broadcasting watchdog ends investigation into remarks that triggered complaints last June.

The comedian Jo Brand will not be investigated further for a joke about throwing battery acid at politicians, the broadcasting watchdog has said.

Last June, Brand had joked on BBC Radio 4’s Heresy show, after milkshake had been thrown at several political figures by members of the public: “I’m thinking why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid.”

I agree Ricky, dreadful woman and as for her being a comedian, well I think the jury is out on that claim.

She has toned it down from her early years but if a man said what she says about women there would be absolute uproar.

Why should we be asked to pay for the poor homeless people when the government are paying £7 million pounds a day for illegal migrants. The vast majority of them are not refugees from war torn countries. Indeed Albania have not had a war for 25 years or so. In fact some homeless people have been thrown out of hotels to allow migrants in. It's all to do with the vast some of money these hotels are being paid.

Having passed a street beggar with a Councillor friend, I was going to drop a few bob towards a meal. Luckily, Kevin stopped me and explained the "beggar" had a flat and a car and could cadge more than his benefits. The coun il and police can do nothing unless they ask you for money. What a world we live in!
