I think F is John Haines, a lovely man. His late son used to post on your site Norman.

You’re spot on Sheila. F is my grandad John. Everyone says he was a lovely man. He did a lot of good work for others as a dedicated union man. I was only 11 when he died but I remember him well. He was great fun.

Joanne, I used to travel lunch time from Reyrolles with your grandad and his nephew Alan. The had different political views and we had happy conversations about their disagreements of Hebburn new housing. Your grandad had a quiet smile as he always gave a good reply when Alan disagreed. It was a pleasure to travel each lunch(dinner) time with them. He was what I would call a natural gentleman.

John Haynes's son was also a John and he was a good friend of mine when we were young lads in the 1950s. Hearing what Sheila said it sounds like young John (John from Doncaster) was a lot like his dad because John loved debating (argued about) religion.He was a Clegwell lad & I was a St Aloysius lad where religion was on the agenda every day. We had some great aruments haha.

Norman I used to work with Jimmy Brown on OYT switchgear along with Alan Pillips, Tommy Malone, Ray Franklin. From what I can remember Jimmy used to cycle to work every day, he had a bike with a small whicker basket on the front handlebars. Happy days.

I'm sure g is jimmy brown..certainly surname is brown..he was a good friend of my father ..my farther archie Barker worked as a fitter in reyrolles for over 40 years before taking early retirement..

I recognise G but didn’t know his name. I’m sure he served at Mass at St Aloysius Church in the 1960’s.

I also remember your dad Ged, I didn’t know either of them but both I seem to remember were connect to St Aloysius, or perhaps I remember your dad from Reyrolles.

Soon as I seen G,recognised the face straight away,as some one was saying brother at St aloysious, strange how some faces remain in your memory.

D, looks very much like my uncle, Richard Marshall who lived in Hebburn and I remember worked for Reyrolles

I was at Hebburn Tech 1959-60 and a classmate was Malcolm Marshall who lived in North Farm Rd. I remember he had a beautiful red brand new Motorbike that drew a lot of attention when parked at College.
Any relation?
