I see that the mayor of London is reported to be spending a lot of money creat a pay by the mile scheme in London?
I will never go into London with my car thank goodness. Couldn’t drive in that amount of traffic anyway.
I wonder if he is the most hated man in London by driver anyway.
We are going down to Devon hopefully and had thought about going to South Wales on way home to visit locations where the Morris side of my family lived. Not that there will be much remaining after 160 years but there is one house and street still there.
The killer is these 20 mph limits as it appears very easy to be caught out, so not going.
My husband's family in North Wales not happy about the 20mph at all. I drive into London weekly and was shocked to realise it's there too. It seems to have just appeared. It is quite difficult at the moment as it's quite an adjustment for drivers. Your muscle memory/subconscious or whatever wants to do 30mph and it's quite easy to forget. Some want to stick rigidly to the 20 limit and others just slow for cameras.
Some of the main roads are the most difficult to navigate, quite a surprise to be 20. It was kind of a collective understanding before and now we have to get used to each other again. I sense people not happy at all. It feels like the powers that be are shaking up the fizzy pop bottle called London and tightening the lid! I don't get into discussions about right or wrong just giving my experience
It's quite a relief I have to say to come out of London
