Hi Ken, I remember that you are related to Tollick's who had a few shops in Hebburn. I'm trying to help a lady in the USA who's great grandfather was Daniel Sharpe a large Shop owner in Hedley St late 1800s early 1900s. Linked to their family were the Gillon & Tallack families. On trying to look into it with great help from board regular Jackie W, I cross checked info Jackie found and on a 1910 Hebburn Rates List the Tallack name was now Tullick. Then I thought about your family was Tollick so maybe your Tollick's were originally Tallack's aswell. Have you ever done your family tree and found you were linked to the Sharpe's, Gillons or Tallack's?

Thanks for your reply Ken. Much appreciated. In the old days before education, the people relied on officials & enumerators to spell your name correctly. Mistakes were made and surnames changed through this. Even my name of Dunn was Dun in old regulars. Norman.
