As usual, I need some names for this 1950s photo.
Dont know if Ullyart is correct, so can anyone verify please

Norman,
are you sure that they are Air Cadets?
The uniforms look more like regular Air Force, belts were not normal ATC issue and ( K ) looks to have RAF shoulder flashes.
At a guess I would think the group belongs to a recent new entry to the RAF, the state of the berets could also support this view.

I think more probably ATC, judging by the cap badge, which was circular for the ATC, whereas the RAF badge has the crown at the top.
As to the state of the berets!!! OMG
Only ONE conforms to the regs (guy at the top left)
The band should be 1" above the eye-brow, and parallel to the ground (i.e. LEVEL) with the excess pulled over the right ear, with the cap badge un-obliterated.
The guy sitting at the front with the pace-stick comes a close second, but has partially hidden his cap-badge.
Worn like that, we would refer to them as "helicopter landing pads" !!

Thanks for helping John. You were right to doubt that it was Jarrow Air Cadets.
Ive looked through my old website records & alongside the photo it says
'2 ex Jarrow Central School pupils in this photo we think could be of RAF recruits taken in the 1950s'
