iPad problem

Bought this iPad Feb/March this year.
Having minor problems in that it can drop the WiFi connection and have to go to settings to reconnect.
Sometimes it freezes and the Home button does not work for say 10 to 20 seconds.
So I went to the Harrogate Apple Store yesterday to find that it’s closed down.
I think a trip to the York Store required.
I think it’s odd that the Harrogate store has closed, not enough sales I expect.
As we go into Harrogate town centre from a multi storey car park there is an office building 7 floors which judging by the unlit offices 75 % empty. WFH or just shut down offices?
I get the feeling that Harrogate town centre is being badly hit by WFH and changes to peoples buying habits changing.
All towns no doubt the same.

Allan, I bought an Ipad from John Lewis, Newcastle last summer. I just have to tap the screen and swipe up to get the password screen, enter password and home-page is there. No pressing buttons.
